Dempsey Family Pictures
Do you know this Dempsey from Winston County, MS? I have been told that it's a "Bob" but still unidentified. Who is his family? Please contact Evie Lindsey if you can identify this Bob Dempsey.
This picture of Wade Hampton Dempsey was taken at Lake Charles in 1928. He was born Dec. 1868 and died Dec. 25, 1948 in Houston, Tex. He was born and raised in Winston County and is shown in the 1900 Ackerman Census along with Davis Dempsey in separate homes with their respective families.
This picture of Wade Hampton Dempsey was taken about 1948 in Oklahoma City, OK with his ggrandson, Hampton Eugene Fox. Wade Hampton Dempsey descends from John C. Dempsey and Gilly Ann Taylor. They lived in Winston County, MS and raised their family there. Their family: John Anderson - 1855, Marion Wesley - 1857, Martin Bell - 1859, William Edgar 1860, Davis Beauregard Abt 1860, David Douglas 1862, Wade Hampton 1868, L. Cub Abt 1862. |
