COSTILOE / DAVIS / SHAW / WYLIE
Lucy Costiloe (1844-1897) was the daughter of John H. and Susan Emily Wragg
Costiloe. Lucy married Thomas J. Davis, 3 April 1861 in Winston Co. I think
Thomas died about 1868 but not sure of date. On 25 Jan. 1882 in Winston Co.,
Lucy Costiloe Davis married James Wylie, whose first wife was Nancy Shaw,
deceased. Lucy Costiloe and T. J. Davis had four children: Emma Jane, Martha,
Robert and Samuel. Nancy Shaw and James Wylie had at least four children:
Samuel, Henry, Elizabeth and Frances. Together, Lucy Costiloe Davis and James
Wylie had one son, James Youngblood Wylie. Most of the children born to their
first marriages were adults by the time that Lucy Costiloe Davis and James
married in 1882. On 5 Nov. 1885, Lucy's daughter, Emma Jane Davis, married
James' son, Frances Wylie.
Does anyone have knowledge of these families? I would especially like to know
Nancy Shaw Wylie's parents names but would appreciate any information. Glad to
share what I have. Dana Meara

KEETON / CHANDLER / BUTCHER
I am looking for any information concerning James D. Keeton who married Mary
Young Butcher on March 25, 1837. I ran across the marriage license while
looking at a microfilm of Winston Co. marriages. He may have been my
ggg-grandfather or at least related in some way through my g-grandmother Donie
Keeton (Keaton). I am not sure of the name of his bride as the writing was not
clear. Also there was a Priscilla Keeton who married John Chandler on April 13,
1836. Her father's name was James Keeton. Please inform me of anything that you
might know as I am having much trouble tracking my Keeton (Keaton) family.

KEMP
I have found two William Kemps, both at one time in Winston County, and I am
trying to determine which is the child of Henry Kemp b. 1802 SC. William #1 was
born in SC, 17 Nov 1820, and married Delina Jermon while living in AL. Both
Henry and William #1 show children born in AL. Henry and William #1 are shown
as separate households in the 1850 Neshoba Co. Federal Census. William #2 b.
1829 in AL and married Julia Ann E. McMinn 17 Aug 1853 in Winston Co. but he is
not listed in the household of Henry in the 1850 census.
I am also puzzled by two children named Henry listed on the elder Henry 1850
Neshoba Co. Federal Census. Henry #1 is listed as being 21 yrs. old and is
listed as the oldest of the children living with Henry and his wife Harriett.
Henry #2 is listed after the youngest child of Henry and is listed as being 17
yrs. old. Also, another child, John, is listed as being 17 yrs. old.
Could these children, William #2 and Henry #2, be nephews who came to
Winston county after Henry and Harriett moved there from Neshoba Co.?
Any help would be appreciated.

In the 1850 Winston Co. census it has what looks like a school for teenage

TUBB / SANDERS
This is an update of a 1999 query from my old email address!!
I am trying to some information about the City Cemetery (formerly The
Masonic Cemetery)in Louisville, Winston County, MS. that James Abraham Tubb b:
March 17, 1875 in Monroe County, MS, is possibily buried in.
He died, while working in the Louisville area, during the depression. I do not
have the date of his death. He was living with relatives in Louisville.
His sister Annie L. Tubb Sanders, her husband Isaac A. Sanders and their
daughter Jettye S. Anderson are buried there. Next to Isaac ther is an unmarked
space. We wonder if James A. Tubb is buried there!! His daughters were supposed
to have placed a headstone on the grave sometime in the 1950's.
Does anyone know if there are any old Masonic Records that might show when
and where James is buried? The state death index does not list his death.
Any and all information or suggestions are appreciated.

immensely helpful. Thanks. I especially would like to find out if Eaton D. Hyde
was listed on the 1840 census and who the head of the household was. I have hit
